Jorginho’s agent insists Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri needs time to get things right

Jorginho’s agent has urged Chelsea to be patient with manager Maurizio Sarri, insisting the Italian needs time to implement his philosophy.

Reports claim Sarri could be sacked during the international break following a run of poor results.

The Blues slipped to another damning away defeat on Sunday, losing 2-0 at Everton, and fans continue to grow frustrated under the new regime.

Chants of ‘f*** Sarri-ball’ have been ringing around Stamford Bridge and Jorginho, the man who represents Chelsea’s new style of play, has been jeered off the pitch.

But the midfielder’s agent, Joao Santos, insists ‘Sarri-ball’ will eventually flourish in west London if given the time it needs.

“The first year in the Premier League is always difficult, we hope that next year can be better,” he told CalcioNapoli24.

“The level of their game needs to be raised and Jorginho wants to do that as well, we just need to wait for the right technical and tactical solution.

“When you have a new style of play, you need time to do things in the best way possible. We must wait for the future, because English football is fantastic for sure.”

Chelsea’s hopes of finishing in the top four have suffered a serious blow in recent weeks, with just one point taken from their previous two league games.

Languishing in sixth place, the Blues face a second consecutive season without Champions League football, however they can qualify by winning the Europa League.

Sarri’s men have a favourable route to the final, with Slavia Prague waiting in the last eight, and could potentially meet Napoli in the final.

Jorginho followed Sarri from Napoli to Stamford Bridge in the summer, and the midfielder’s agent admits he is hoping for a reunion in Baku.

“The Europa League is a very important objective, they need to deal with the quarter-final against Slavia Prague,” Santos said.

“Then if everything goes well they can reach the final, we hope that there could be a final against Napoli.”
