Gareth Southgate has confirmed England will report alleged racist abuse made towards Danny Rose by Montenegro supporters.
The Three Lions boss said he clearly heard racist chants directed towards the full-back in the closing stages of the match, but was unsure about whether other players had received abuse.
Speaking to the media, Southgate said: “I definitely heard abuse at Danny Rose when he got booked at the end of the game… We’ll make sure that’s reported officially. It’s not acceptable.”
â€Å“There’s no doubt in my mind that it happened and it will be reported officially. I don’t want to speculate but I know what I heard.â€
“I’m not sure yet [whether others were abused]. I had a quick chat with Danny but I’ve not had a chance to speak to Raheem yet.
“I know what I head, and we’ll definitely deal with it the right way. We’ve got to make sure we support our players.”
