Anthony Joshua has bigger things to worry about on June 1, however, that has not stopped him making a Champions League final prediction.
The unified heavyweight king will defend his titles against Andy Ruiz Jr in New York this Saturday night, just hours after either Tottenham or Liverpool have been crowned Champions of Europe.
When first asked about the game, Joshua admitted to US media: “I don’t really watch soccer, you know.
“I don’t even really watch sport, believe it or not. Boxing’s the only sport I really watch.”
He was then pushed for a prediction between Jurgen Klopp’s Reds and Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs and so gave the answer: “Tottenham, London.”
AJ spent much of his youth in and around north London, having grown up in Watford and then learned to box in Finchley.
On this occasion it appears his prediction is more to do with location, rather than as a result of his football knowledge.
