Roman Abramovich remains committed to Chelsea despite talk of him potentially selling the Premier League club.
This is according to Bruce Buck, the Chelsea chairman, who insists Abramovich remains in daily contact with club officials.
Buck’s comments come following reports claiming Abramovich may be looking to sell Chelsea.
He is understood to have not attended any Chelsea games since May 2018, when he was denied a visa, while Abramovich reportedly hired New York bank Raine Group last summer in preparation of the club’s sale.
Abramovich also put plans to redevelop Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium on hold amid his visa troubles, leading to suggestions he is no longer willing to invest in the club.

However, a takeover of Chelsea does not appear imminent, with Buck insisting Abramovich remains full committed to the Blues.

“We hear from him several times a day and he’s talking to us about players, commercial activities and our good causes.
“So I would say he’s committed to Chelsea.”
