LATEST FOOTBALL STORIES
Arsenal – Wilfried Zaha (5/4)
The Crystal Palace ace has reportedly told those in charge at Selhurst Park he wants to leave the club and pursue his dream of playing in the Champions League.
Currently, he wouldn’t be able to do that at the Emirates after the Gunners finished in fifth place, but if they beat Chelsea in the Europa League final they will make it into the competition.
Whether the Gunners can afford his talents is another query with Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund also interested.
Bournemouth – Jack Butland (8/11)
With Stoke City failing to gain promotion straight back to the Premier League and the Cherries set to look for a new goalkeeper, this seems like a match made in heaven.
Butland knows he’s unlikely to get the England No.1 shirt until he’s back in the top-flight so a transfer should be easily done, unless the Potters want too much money.
Brighton – Juan Mata (6/1)
The Seagulls are hunting for a new manager so this one may now be up in the air.
Prior to Chris Hughton’s sacking, though, the club were linked with offering the Spanish playmaker a two-year deal at the Amex Stadium Could they still pull it off?
Burnley – Che Adams (12/1)
Wanted by several Premier League sides, the Clarets aren’t favourites to land the Birmingham City starlet but he’s still their most likely signing right now.
With very little coming out of Turf Moor, all we know is Sean Dyche had four bids for the player turned down in January.
Chelsea – Transfer Ban
Seeing as the Blues aren’t currently allowed to sign anybody. We’re notching this up as no-one until things change for the west London side.
Crystal Palace – Che Adams (4/1)
It’s that man again. The Eagles are desperate to permanently sign a top striker as they appear set to sell Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi seems likely to return to Chelsea after a fine loan spell.
Adams scored 22 Championship goals last season and is highly-rated by many within the game who feel he would take to the Premier League with ease.
Everton – Thomas Meunier (15/2)
The Toffees made an impressive upgrade at left-back last year, snapping up Lucas Digne, who has done well at Goodison Park.
This season they are looking to improve the opposite flank and Belgian ace Meunier could fit the bill. He’s set to be turfed out of Paris Saint-Germain and Marco Silva could seriously profit.
Leicester City – Youri Tielemans (5/2)
After an excellent loan spell since joining in January, Tielemans is wanted by the club permanently.
His three goals and four assists helped the Foxes finish ninth but Brendan Rodgers will be wary Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in landing him having opted against a temporary switch in the last transfer window.
Liverpool – David Neres (3/1)
When you already have Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, why not bring in another fast and skilful wide-forward to give you extra depth?
The Ajax ace is likely to be one of the many departures in Amsterdam and Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on a £35million transfer.
Manchester City – Saul Niguez (4/7)
Well, would you believe it. Pep Guardiola wants to sign a Spanish central midfielder with fine technique.
Atletico Madrid are braced for several departures with Diego Godin and Antoine Greizmann officially leaving, while others may follow suit with such key squad members exiting.
Manchester United – Aaron Wan-Bissaka (2/5)
Another players wanted by several top clubs this summer, Wan-Bissaka has thrilled Crystal Palace fans and neutrals with his displays at right-back.
The youngster himself reckons he’s stay at Selhurst Park but who knows what could happen if the right bid comes in.
Newcastle – Danny Drinkwater (5/1)
Being forced out at Chelsea and currently making the headlines for all the wrong reasons, Drinkwater might next pop up on Tyneside.
The midfielder will be sold by the Blues despite their transfer ban and he could find a home at St James’ Park where his technical qualities would be welcomed in the middle of the park.
Norwich City – Joe Hart (7/4)
Tim Krul was No.1 for the Canaries as they were promoted to the Premier League by winning the Championship title.
Their backup is currently Michael McGovern so Joe Hart may be brought in to give Krul another rival and create a real battle for the goalkeeper’s jersey.
Sheffield United – Danny Drinkwater (8/1)
Back into the top-flight after finishing second in the Championship this season, the Blades will need reinforcements.
Danny Drinkwater, a former Premier League champions, may give them some necessary experience in a key area of the pitch.
Southampton – Che Adams (Evens)
It’s that man Adams again. This time, though, it’s the Saints who are one favourites to sign him in the summer.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has worked wonders at St Mary’s and may really get a tune out of the young forward if he can land him.
Tottenham – Ryan Sessegnon (3/10)
A deal which, right now, seems set to happen. The Fulham ace did well in his first top-flight campaign, despite his club being relegated.
It’s believed Spurs want to pay £25million for him, while the Cottager are keen for a fee of about £40million, the two sides should reach a conclusion soon though.
Watford – Che Adams (8/1)
Yeah, you guessed, it’s the Birmingham City man again.
Andre Gray has got some key goals this season but the Hornets hierarchy may feel they can do better and Adams might just be the player to come in and learn from captain Troy Deeney.
West Ham – Duvan Zapata (11/2)
A hit in Serie A with 22 goals and seven assists this season, the Colombian could excel in the Premier League.
He would set back the Hammers around £40million thanks to his goal-getting talents but at 28-years-old there might be concerns about his longevity, especially given the fee.
Wolverhampton Wanderers – Joao Felix (6/1)
The Portuguese wonderkid has had a stunning season breaking through into the first-team at Benfica.
His creativity and goalscoring exploits have got a whole host of top European clubs wanting to sign him but Wolves’ Portuguese links could just get them their man.
