Joao Felix insists his rise to stardom has “helped a lot with the girls”, although he’s revealed he’s not the biggest fan of receiving random nudes from strangers on social media.
The Manchester United target has impressed in Portugal so far this season, scoring 11 goals and notching six assists in all competitions for the Lisbon club.
And that has gained him a lot of attention off the field, with the 19-year-old a firm favourites with the ladies.
Speaking to Rui Maria Pego, a Portuguese television and radio presenter, Felix revealed: “I get some [nudes], it’s true, but I always reject it,” he said laughing.
With that said, the talented playmaker did leave the profile name of his Instagram social network – joaofelix79 – for people to follow if they wish.
When asked about the prospect of a girlfriend, he said: “There’s time for everything.
“Players are free to do what they want.”
Felix recently responded to speculation linking with a big move away from Benfica, insisting he is happy where he is.
United scouts are reported to have watched Felix on several occasions this term, and while he has aspirations of moving on one day, he is content where he is for the time being.
“My dream has always been to play for the big teams and in the big competitions,” he explained.
“But I’m here and I’m very happy with Benfica, which, like those teams, is also a big one in Europe.”
